AEON SABLE
Saturn Return
It seems increasingly difficult to findthe right words to describe the mixture of classic and modern elements in Germany's Gothic Rock duo Aeon Sable - too distinguished are these two eras of this type of music.
The predicate extraordinary truly underlines the behavior of Aeon Sable - after having the debut album "Per Aspera Ad Astra" sold out, Aeon Sable started offering the album as a free download.
The new album, Saturn Return is initially only available digitally, but will be published in February 2013 as a vinyl release. During the album's 45 minutes, Din-tah Aeon and N1n0 once again prove that they understand their trade. It seems that Aeon Sable once again got the split between the 80's air and progressive gothic rock, without being cliche or slipping into cliches.
To all those who are looking for harmonic melodies containing some twirls and who didn't entirely forget the musical memory of the gloomy 80's - those still looking for a touch of melancholy. You should denitely want to be risking both ears with "Saturn Return".
The limited vinyl edition of only 333 pressings will be available for preorder from December 12th on the bands website. This is the same day the exclusive download version will be available on iTunes. On January 11th, a modified digital version including a bonus track will be available on AmazonMP3. The limited vinyl edition and several download options will also be made accessible on 22nd of February 2013.
